Employment Status Experts Forum

About the Forum

The Forum currently has approximately 40 participants.

Participation in the Forum is by invitation only. Participants have been specifically selected for their knowledge of employment status and the labour supply chain.

The Employment Status Experts Forum brings together a broad range of technical expertise, policy experience and practical perspectives. Participants include employment lawyers and barristers, tax and employment status specialists, academics, payroll and National Minimum Wage experts, and professionals working in recruitment and labour supply chain compliance.

Contributors also come from trade unions, business and employer representative bodies, professional and sector associations, and organisations supporting freelancers, contractors and the self-employed. The Forum draws on experience across higher education, healthcare, the creative industries, care and personal assistance, alongside campaigning and public policy expertise.

This breadth enables the Forum to consider employment status from the perspectives of individuals, businesses, advisers and those involved in shaping policy. Participation does not imply endorsement of any particular proposal, and collective positions are published only where expressly agreed.
